EDEN GROVE COMMUNITY PRECINCT
Eden Grove facilities are located in a beautiful rural setting in Harvey. The premises are steeped in history relating to the Second World War. In 1939, a unique Internment Camp was constructed here and from 1942 the site was used as a military training camp. Converted to army training barracks shortly after the war, it later became an Agricultural College in 1952.
Many of the original war-time features, such as the entrance bridge, old hospital and barracks are still standing today. In 2017, the entire site was listed by the Heritage Council of Western Australia.
The Eden Grove Community Precinct is now home to South West Community Care (SWCC), a not-for-profit agency providing community aged care services to allow you to stay in your home for longer throughout the region.
